Seasonal activities, For example, in Feb we built a quinzhee and tracked animals in the snow. In March we tap a maple tree and make a map of circumpolar constellations showing the spring star Arcturus. Wintergreen leaves are availabale for tea in April and by May of last year we were finding ripe wild strawberries. Survival tips, "project wild" awareness games, monitoring forest seasons, with a heated "learning centre" available when needed. Each session ends with a pick- your- own "wild" herb tea and dandelion flower jam on rye bread. For more information check www.carpridgelearningcentre.ca
